Job Description: Job Title Lead Principal Auditor - Data Location London Corporate Title Vice President Join Deutsche Bank’s Group Audit Data team and play a key role in assessing and strengthening how data is governed, controlled, and managed across the Bank. You will lead complex audits and reviews across Data Management and Records Management. You will provide independent assurance on Data and Records Management risks, influence senior stakeholders, and help drive improvements in the control environment. We have implemented a model that enables eligible employees to work remotely for a part of their working time and reach a working pattern that works for them Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Lead concurrent complex audits and reviews across Data Management and Records Management Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, ensuring risks and root causes are addressed Define risk-based audit scope using regulatory expectations, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring insights Develop and oversee testing strategies and audit execution, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery Drive stakeholder engagement (including senior colleagues), communicating audit progress, findings, and actions Review and finalise audit findings and reports, ensuring clear, impactful messaging Your skills and experience Strong experience in Data and/or Records Management, Data and/or Records risk, or internal audit supported with a deep understanding of Data governance, data quality, data lineage, and Records Management frameworks as well as knowledge of regulatory expectations Proven ability to manage complex audits and influence senior stakeholders Excellent ability to translate technical issues into clear, business-focused insights Self motivated professional with demonstrable experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to challenge constructively and deliver independent, risk-based judgement Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills How we’ll support you A culture of continuous learning to aid progression We value diversity and as an equal opportunities’ employer, we make reasonable adjustments for those with a disability such as the provision of assistive equipment if required (e.g. screen readers, assistive hearing devices, adapted keyboards) About us Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
