We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join a multidisciplinary design team delivering clean water infrastructure projects. You will develop and deliver process engineering solutions focused on optimised asset performance, standardised design, and compliance with industry engineering standards.

This is a long term contract, outside ir35.
In this role, you will be responsible for the process design of clean water pumping stations, chemical dosing systems, and associated control systems. This includes hydraulic analysis, process calculations, equipment selection, and development of control philosophies. You will also contribute to SCADA integration, commissioning support, and technical evaluation of supplier proposals.

A strong focus of the role is ensuring safe-by-design principles are embedded across all work, including participation in HAZOP, LOPA, and DSEAR studies, in line with CDM regulations and industry best practice.
You will play a key part in delivering high-quality engineering outputs, maintaining technical assurance, and ensuring alignment with project standards and governance. xlqdzyr The role also requires collaboration across design, modelling, control strategy, and commissioning teams to ensure coordinated delivery and effective problem solving.

Requirements
Degree (or equivalent experience) in water, wastewater, or process engineering discipline
Experience in process engineering within water treatment and/or control systems
Strong technical understanding of hydraulics and process design
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc or CIWEM)
Professional body membership
Experience with SCADA and commissioning integration
Strong IT skills
