About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our offshore engineering team and support the delivery of multiple platform projects that are entering the execution phase. The preferred location for this position is Woking, where the successful candidate will work closely with the UK engineering lead and act as the primary interface between the UK project team and the facilities engineering team in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong technical expertise, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to coordinate engineering activities across multiple international locations and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical focal point between the UK engineering team and the Kuala Lumpur facilities team
  • Work closely with the Lead Engineering team to coordinate engineering activities across international project teams
  • Lead and support the delivery of offshore platform engineering projects from design through execution
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, including:
    • Process Engineering
    • Instrumentation & Control
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Piping
    • Safety Engineering
  • Lead process engineering activities including design reviews, HAZOPs, and other hazard and operability assessments
  • Provide technical oversight for complex instrumentation packages, including Wellhead Control Panels, ICSS, and associated control systems
  • Ensure effective communication between project stakeholders across the UK, Malaysia, client teams, and other project locations
  • Support engineering decisions, technical problem solving, and project execution to ensure successful project delivery

Required Experience

  • 10–12+ years of experience in offshore oil & gas engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and execution of offshore production platforms.
  • Strong background in Process Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience leading or facilitating HAZOPs and other engineering review processes.
  • Familiarity with offshore control systems and instrumentation packages, including ICSS and Wellhead Control Panels.
  • Experience working with international engineering teams and managing cross-functional technical interfaces.
  • Previous involvement in platform commissioning and/or start-up activities is highly desirable.
