Lead Procurement Manager – Logistics & Distribution
Location: London (Hybrid – a few days per week)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + 20% Bonus + Strong Benefits Package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement professional to join a high-performing Procurement team within a leading international organisation.
This is a strategic Procurement leadership role supporting a diverse Commercial function, with a particular focus on Logistics, Distribution and Outsourced Operational Services. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead complex sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies, manage key supplier relationships and play an important role in developing and mentoring a high-performing Procurement team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies across Logistics, Distribution and Outsourced Operational Services.
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including market analysis, RFPs, contract negotiations and supplier selection.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels and mitigate commercial risk.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to influence sourcing decisions and support wider business objectives.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and contract management activities.
- Develop robust category plans supported by market intelligence and spend analysis.
- Coach, mentor and develop members of the Procurement team, helping to build capability and support career development.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and commercially focused team culture.
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, supplier performance and category delivery.
- Ensure procurement governance and best practice across the category portfolio.

What We're Looking For
- Strong Procurement and Category Management experience across Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain or Outsourced Services.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring Procurement professionals, with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
- Experience managing categories such as 3PL, warehousing, transportation, freight, fulfilment, last-mile delivery, distribution networks, outsourced logistics and operational service providers.
- Proven track record of delivering complex sourcing projects and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build trusted relationships.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience developing category strategies that deliver measurable commercial value.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
