As a Product Designer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organisation. We are looking for solution-oriented, customer-focused individuals, used to working in an agile environment who want to be a part of building something new from the ground up within a diverse and inclusive team. Your work will impact us as a company, as well as our customers around the world.

This role sits within the Product Design Team, which itself is part of the Design & Customer Experience (DCE) Team primarily based in London. As a Lead Product Designer within International Consumer Banking, you will be at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. You have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative squads, and are passionate about new technology. You’ve worked in a squad model, designing experiences, shipping products and delivering positive outcomes for businesses and their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a dedicated product squad, drive product design excellence, balancing craft with business impact, and uphold quality and consistency in design deliverables.
  • Comfortable with translating complex business requirements and user needs into easy-to-use experiences.
  • Collaborate within cross functional teams—including researchers, designers, technologists, and business experts—to create customer-focused products and services.
  • Align design and business goals by working closely with leadership across CX, Product leadership, and Marketing.
  • Lead and support discovery, design, and delivery research through workshops, design sprints, and ideation sessions.
  • Advocate for customer-centric design by using insights and data to inform user experiences.
  • Create and deliver high-quality design deliverables, such as design concepts, prototypes, user journeys, wireframes, UI flows, and detailed UI designs.
  • Partner with the design system team to represent customer and business needs.
  • Present and communicate design work and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Manage stakeholders, proactively resolve issues affecting design quality, and identify new opportunities for design innovation.
  • Opportunity to mentor and support designers, fostering best practices and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Proven experience in hands-on product design roles, demonstrating craft and problem-solving in end-to-end product/service environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered solutions to business and customer challenges.
  • You are solution-oriented, commercially savvy and have an interest in fintech and experience in delivering products with impact.
  • Ability to synthesise complex and competing needs and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to digital experiences.
  • Experience designing across digital touchpoints, including native iOS and Android platforms.
  • Proficiency in usability testing, iterative design, and early-stage UX research methods.
  • Expert knowledge of modern design systems, prototyping software, and design tools (e.g. Figma).
  • Versatile craft skills from concept sketches to high-fidelity digital prototypes.
  • Passion for fostering an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Product design and delivery experience in Financial Services / Fintech
