We're working with one of the UK's largest insurance and protection providers on a Head of Product hire.
This is a newly created 12-month fixed-term contract, sitting right at the heart of a major modernisation programme. The business is moving off legacy systems and toward a genuinely product-led way of working, while making sure commercial performance doesn't slip in the meantime.
The role:
- Own product strategy and delivery across both a variety of sales channels.
- Lead and coach a small team of Product Managers (circa three, each running their own squad), raising the bar on product thinking across the group.
- Build out a new capability around a large, currently under-utilised area of the business, genuine greenfield territory within the role.
- Act as right hand to a newly appointed senior product leader, holding the line on commercial delivery while they focus on the wider platform migration.
- Represent the space at senior governance level, comfortable communicating from engineering level through to C-suite.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
