Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office - Inverness, Perth, Aberdeen or Glasgow.

Salary:

  • £40,525 - £48,427 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract (16 months)| Full Time | Flexible working options available

The Role

Our Transmission business has a large portfolio of projects across Scotland, and we are looking for a Lead Project Coordinator to join us on our journey. As Lead Project Coordinator, you will manage a team of Project Coordinators that have the key role of supporting their stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.

This is a 16 month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity.

You Will

  • Manage a team of Project Coordinators making sure the team is delivering a high level of service which will involve meeting deadlines, producing work to a high standard and coordinating their workload in a very busy role.
  • Have experience of Line Manager duties, including dealing with confidential matters, mentoring and training.
  • Forecast the correct level of resource to make sure the team is sufficiently staffed.
  • Liaise with your stakeholders to make sure a high level of service is being delivered and always improving the teams performance.
  • Play an active role in making sure the team is meeting key milestones in line with the LCP Governance Framework and adhere to critical deadlines, therefore having a background in project delivery is desired.

You Have

  • Experience of working in a similar project focused industry.
  • Line Manager experience or experience of training and developing individuals, being able to demonstrate you are confident to manage a team.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and the ability to manage the team’s workload, along with being flexible to deal with change.
  • Being confident working in a team environment, chairing meetings, implementing change and
  • Competent administration and IT skills.

The successful candidate would be expected to travel between different SSE offices/project sites, with the occasional overnight stay. Therefore, a driving license is required.
