If you want to do more, because you care, join us. We’re looking for a Lead Project Manager to lead a portfolio of waste infrastructure projects within our Capital Delivery team.

This is a senior leadership role where you’ll combine people leadership with overall accountability for project performance, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lead Project Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of project professionals while overseeing multiple projects across our waste infrastructure programme.

You’ll

  • Lead, manage and develop Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
  • Take accountability for delivery across a portfolio of projects
  • Ensure projects are planned, resourced and governed effectively
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies to keep delivery on track
  • Drive consistency in project management standards and ways of working
  • Lead resource planning to ensure the right skills and capacity are in place
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and delivery partners
  • Oversee financial performance, forecasting and reporting
  • Champion health, safety and wellbeing across all projects
  • Drive continuous improvement and more efficient ways of working

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership experience and a track record delivering complex infrastructure projects.

You’ll Have

  • Experience leading project teams in a capital delivery or infrastructure environment
  • Proven experience delivering multiple projects or a project portfolio
  • Experience working with NEC contracts (or similar frameworks)
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management capability
  • Ability to influence and build relationships at senior stakeholder level
  • Experience in resource planning, team leadership and performance management
  • A structured, proactive and problem-solving approach

What You’ll Need

  • A project management qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Full UK driving licence
