Lead Project Manager / Programme Manager

Heat Network Compliance Programme

The Opportunity

Ginger Energy is looking for an experienced Lead Project Manager / Programme Manager to lead a major heat network compliance and operational readiness programme on a minimum six-month contract, with the potential to extend.

This is a senior delivery role, suited to someone who is highly organised, confident managing multiple stakeholders, and able to bring structure, pace and accountability to the project.

The programme will run to a tight six-month deadline and will involve coordinating Ginger Energy, clients, and suppliers to ensure key actions, evidence, reporting and operational processes are delivered on time.

You do not need to be a heat network expert, but you will need strong project discipline, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to turn multiple requirements into clear plans, actions and outcomes.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of a structured compliance and operational readiness programme across a heat network portfolio.

You will manage the programme plan, track milestones and actions, coordinate meetings, monitor risks and issues, and provide clear progress reporting to senior stakeholders and clients.

The role will also involve coordinating a small project team and working closely with suppliers, managing agents, property managers, technical providers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a six-month compliance and operational readiness programme.
  • Build and maintain the programme plan, action tracker, risk log and reporting pack.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Track progress against milestones, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Identify delays, blockers and risks early and escalate where needed.
  • Chair or coordinate meetings, workshops and progress reviews.
  • Ensure actions, decisions and responsibilities are clearly recorded and followed up.
  • Support the recruitment, coordination and management of a small project team.
  • Produce clear, concise updates for senior stakeholders.
  • Help transition project outputs into ongoing business-as-usual processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
