Are you an experienced Protection & Control Systems Engineer with a passion for delivering innovative solutions in the Transmission & Distribution sector? My client are looking for a technical leader to join their growing team of experts.
As a Lead Engineer, you'll take ownership of the design and implementation of Protection Systems across high-impact energy infrastructure projects throughout the UK. You'll work closely with clients and internal teams, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.

๐ง What You'll Do:
โ Lead the technical delivery of Protection & Control systems across key projects
โ Design and review SLDs, schematics, layouts, and system architecture
โ Chair design workshops and engage stakeholders to align on compliant solutions
โ Conduct site visits and support installation, commissioning, and testing activities
โ Produce and review essential technical documentation (FDS, design specs, compliance reports)
โ Support sales, tenders, and project management with expert technical input
โ Ensure successful delivery within time, budget, and quality targets

What You'll Bring:
๐น Proven experience in Protection & Control engineering within T&D systems
๐น Strong understanding of UK standards, client requirements, and key technologies
๐น Hands-on knowledge of IEC61850, substation protocols, and cybersecurity considerations
๐น Experience with leading vendor technologies
๐น Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience
๐น Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
