Lead Python Engineer
Senior/Lead Python Engineer (Agentic Systems Focus)
A Senior/Lead-Level Python Engineer with deep expertise in agentic engineering is needed for a cutting-edge commercial platform. You’ll tackle real-world challenges by building and optimising Python services, crafting AI-native features, and integrating seamlessly with PHP/Laravel components—all while shipping impactful work on a high-scale system.
The Role
Your mission: ✅ Embed into a UK-leading procurement platform for construction projects—linking organisations and suppliers via a high-traffic, high-stakes system. ✅ Deliver Python services and agentic features that drive core product functionality. 🔹 Numerous engineering challenges await at every layer of the stack—serverless, cloud-native (Azure-focused), and reliability-critical. ✅ Pull double-duty as a Full-Stack engineer—ready to riff on React.js when needed and dive into Laravel for API integrations. ✅ Clarity without red-tape: You won’t dictate strategy, but you will ship high-impact work with autonomy and ownership.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Senior/Lead Python proficiency in production environments—debug, architect, and optimise complex systems.
- Agentic engineering as a professional toolset—not just experimental, but a daily driver to accelerate deliverables and improve quality.
- Cloud-native expertise, predominantly on Microsoft Azure (build/deploy serverless, Kubernetes, or otherwise scalable systems).
- Full-Stack fluency—practical understanding of React.js and capability to navigate Laravel/PHP for integrations.
- Production operator mindset—ready to fix issues before docs get written, own deployments, and collaborate cross-functionally.
** Nice-to-Haves**
- Prior experience in communication/logistics platforms or procurement tech.
- Strong sense of infrastructure as code (IaC) and observability tools.
