About the Role
As Whitewater Group continues to expand internationally across multiple markets, we are seeking an experienced Lead QA/QC Engineer to support quality delivery across complex mechanical and electrical projects within critical infrastructure and data centre environments.
This role will lead inspection and testing activities, manage tagging and asset tracking processes, oversee NCR management, and coordinate QA/QC activities across multiple subcontractors and disciplines. The successful candidate will support projects from factory and module stages through to on-site installation and handover, ensuring quality standards, compliance, and documentation requirements are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Profile
- Minimum 6 years’ QA/QC experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical walkdowns and inspections
- Experience leading a tagging process in data centres, critical infrastructure / OSM/modular construction, or MEP environments preferred
- Full NCR lifecycle ownership
- Coordination of multiple subcontractors and disciplines on live projects
- Mechanical inspection experience including pressure testing, pipework, and valve inspections
- Electrical inspection experience including cable inspections, termination checks, loop checks, and I/O verification
- Review and QA of mechanical and electrical testing documentation prior to client submission
- Asset tracking and tagging management experience in data centre environments preferred
- Level 8 degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; lead auditor qualification advantageous
- Welding inspection knowledge advantageous (ASME B31.3 / EN 13480)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for trackers and registers management
- Experience using SharePoint for document control and team collaboration
- Procore experience advantageous, particularly Inspections, Submittals, RFIs, and Documents modules
- Self-driven, methodical, and documentation-focused
- Strong communicator able to work under programme pressure
- Collaborative approach across teams, disciplines, and subcontractors
- Willingness to travel within Europe for short-term project assignments
- Full clean driving licence

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead walkdown inspections at key build milestones across mech, elec, piping, and instrumentation
- Lead and manage the tagging process — tracking asset tag status through the full build lifecycle
- Own and implement project ITPs across all disciplines
- Manage the full NCR lifecycle — raise, disposition, track, and verify close-out
- Coordinate quality deliverables across multiple subcontractors and disciplines
- Act as primary QA/QC client interface and manage witness hold points
- Lead FAT planning and execution
- Travel to client sites post-delivery to lead inspections and manage handover
- Mentor and direct QA/QC Engineers on the project team
