Lead Reliability Engineer – Non-F1 Brackley, UK We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Reliability Engineer to join our Team working on non-F1 projects, driving the operational excellence and robustness of our high‑performance vehicle programmes. In this role, you’ll lead a small team to define and manage key vehicle specifications, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and champion build quality through rigorous processes, system‑level reviews, and effective issue‑tracking methodologies. Your work will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity, reliability, and consistency of our engineering output. It’s a great time to join us. Working closely with designers, build technicians, and wider project stakeholders, you’ll shape the frameworks that guide our vehicle development from concept through to delivery, making a tangible impact on the workflows and engineering standards across our non‑F1 projects. Lead a small team to: Drive the specification of the car with the Chief and Lead designers to ensure it is appropriately detailed, kept up to date and communicated to the project team. Lead the Specification Working Group Meetings. Take responsibility for accurate tracking and reporting of the vehicle mass and centres of gravity. Lead the Mass Working Group Meetings. Maintain the register of safety regulations to be adopted, along with running a concession process where the project needs to deviate from the agreed standard. Lead the Safety Working Group Meetings. Act as the champion for those unrepresented in discussions, such as build technicians in design conversations and meetings or designers in build or garage conversations. Ensuring relevant considerations are brought up. Lead and facilitate system level design reviews throughout the project concept and design phases. Implement and run a robust fault and feedback system, to capture issues found, track them and drive effective containment, countermeasures and longer term learning. Provide input to the lifing and servicing strategy for the project. Candidate profile: Experience leading small technical teams and coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders. Strong background in reliability or systems engineering within high‑performance environments. Skilled in managing specifications and controlled documentation. Confident running structured working groups and design reviews. Able to implement and operate fault‑tracking and feedback systems. Effective communicator who advocates for build, safety and operational considerations. Organised, detail‑focused and proactive in driving continuous improvement. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
