Lead Development of Revenue and Route-to-Market Strategies
Join us in this role where you’ll lead the development of revenue and route-to-market strategies across the asset lifecycle—from early-stage bids to post-subsidy optimisation—while representing Trading & Revenue in key governance forums. You will work at the intersection of markets, contracts, and partnerships, collaborating closely with Development, EPC, Generation, and co-investors to optimise value and manage risk.
Welcome to Commercial & Portfolio
You’ll be part of the Revenue Development team in Commercial & Portfolio, where you, together with your colleagues, will define and implement revenue strategies for Ørsted’s portfolio, grounded in deep market insight and rigorous risk/reward analysis. You will play a central role in shaping commercial decisions and aligning stakeholders across the organisation and with external partners.
We are a high-performing and collaborative team, working in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly. We take ownership, challenge assumptions, and actively influence outcomes across projects and the wider portfolio.
You’ll be expected to:
- Lead Trading & Revenue’s contribution to asset business cases and M&A processes, representing revenue considerations at key investment and decision gates
- Develop revenue and route-to-market strategies across the asset lifecycle, shaping contracted & merchant revenue strategies from early-stage bid concepts to post-subsidy revenue optimisation
- Drive alignment on revenue assumptions for business cases, identifying opportunities to unlock value and manage commercial risk, and translating insights into recommendations that improve project returns and protect downside exposure
- Act as a key interface to co-investors/partners on revenue topics, ensuring alignment on risk allocation and value creation
- Negotiate and structure route-to-market products and revenue stabilisation solutions for co-investors/partners, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment across Trading & Revenue, Business & Project Development, Generation, M&A, and Finance to resolve commercial trade-offs and optimise portfolio value

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

To succeed in the role, you:
- Bring strong commercial judgement and a solid understanding of power markets, revenue drivers, and route-to-market structures: PPAs, hedging strategies, merchant exposure, & subsidy regimes
- Have experience supporting investment decisions, asset business cases, and partnership processes, including shaping, challenging, or validating key commercial assumptions
- Demonstrate the ability to structure and assess complex contractual arrangements and translate analysis into clear commercial recommendations
- Are confident engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating alignment across functions, and influencing outcomes in governance or investment forums
- Have worked with external partners, investors, or customers, ideally on commercial strategy, route-to-market solutions, or risk allocation
- Combine strong analytical capabilities with the ability to distill complex information into clear, decision-ready insights
- Are comfortable taking ownership of complex workstreams, managing ambiguity, and driving progress across multiple stakeholders
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
