General Summary
The primary responsibility of the Lead SAP Analyst (Variant Configuration, Production Planning, Project Systems) is to own the architecture of mission-critical manufacturing processes. You would be a high-calibre SAP specialist, serving as the global subject matter expert for our SAP landscape, including:
- Variant Configuration (VC)
- Production Planning (PP)
- Project Systems (PS)
- Extensive experience in Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)
- Functional knowledge of related modules, including Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD) (highly beneficial).
In this strategic role, you will do more than just support a system—you will shape the digital backbone of a global leader in:

Your responsibilities include:
- Leading business process re-engineering,
- Driving M&A integration,
- Mentoring a world-class team of innovators, and
- Impacting the global business strategically.
Key Strategic Impact
- Process Architecture & Ownership: Act as the ultimate owner for the SAP VC, PP, and PS modules, ensuring seamless integration across global business units.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead high-priority business systems integration projects and contribute to M&A strategy from an ERP perspective.
- Digital Transformation:
- Facilitate Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) workshops to eliminate legacy inefficiencies.
- Implement best-in-class manufacturing workflows.
- Executive Advisory: Partner with senior leadership to provide technical expertise, driving global decision-making.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Core Ownership & Configuration
- Own SAP VC, PP, PS and supporting SAP functionality.
- Conduct analysis and documentation of current systems (processes, functions, methods, and practices).
- Translate and document SAP ERP processes using prescribed systems analysis methodologies.
- Configure SAP modules to meet documented user requirements.
- Develop and test configured SAP systems.
- Specify reports, interfaces, and special programs.
- Train key/end users in system operation.
- Provide installation support post-go-live.
- Resolve implementation issues to achieve management sign-off.

Business Alignment & Support
- Address and resolve business issues and user problems.
- Monitor and report progress of SAP issues (VC, PP, PS, and other SAP-related tasks).
- Liaise with users to ensure full understanding of business requirements, proper documentation, and solution communication.
- Log progress within Celeros’ help desk systems.
- Advise senior management on business systems expertise.
- Support Production Planning, Scheduling, and Variant Configuration, including integration with external systems.
- Identify and implement business improvement opportunities.
Process & Project Leadership
- Define and promote best-practice processes for SAP-using business units.
- Organise, participate in, and facilitate BPR workshops.
- Implement new manufacturing processes and educate business users on their use.
- Enhance executive decision-making via SAP expertise.
- Contribute as a Team Lead or individual contributor to Business Systems projects.
- Partner with business leaders on high-priority projects.
- Manage Project Management responsibilities (as needed).
- Lead business process and business systems integration projects within specified process areas.
Technical & Development Support
- Develop functional and technical specifications for interfaces and integration of SAP with other Celeros Flow Technology business systems.
- Provide SAP expertise to Program and Project Management.
- Assign and manage SAP resources for individual projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Critical Capabilities Required
- Ability to handle multiple demands with urgency, drive, and energy.
- Proven SAP VC, PP, PS configurator with at least four full-cycle implementations (focusing on manufacturing).
- Demonstrable experience with global business users and stakeholders to communicate about business processes and improvement initiatives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills (both clear and compelling).
- Proficient in collaboration with virtual teams (globally dispersed).
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and highly analytical, with strong initiative.
- Strong personal motivation, work ethic, and positive, team-oriented mindset.
Mandatory Education and Experience
Degree Requirements
- Engineering-related degree or Master’s in IT / Computer Science, earned at a recognised university.

SAP Experience
- 10+ years of experience specifying, configuring, deploying, and supporting:
- SAP VC, PP, PS core functionality.
- Integrated functionalities from other SAP modules.
- Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP ERP 4.6.
- Industry focus: Global manufacturing and MTO/CTO/ETO (Make-to-Order/Configure-to-Order/Engineer-to-Order) environments.
Certifications
- SAP VC, PP, PS Consultant Certification, or equivalent.
- If applicable, mainstream SAP ERP module certification.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Proficient in MS SharePoint.
