Salary: £100 - £110 per day (PAYE)

About the Role
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking to take on greater responsibility within a supportive school environment? Prebook Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming, well-established school in Harrow, seeking a dedicated Lead SEND Teaching Assistant to join their inclusion team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with diverse additional needs, collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to deliver outstanding provision. The school emphasises an inclusive environment, ensuring every child thrives, regardless of individual needs or abilities.
The Core Responsibilities
As the Lead SEND Teaching Assistant, your role will encompass:
- Providing high-quality one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Assisting teachers with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Specialising in support for pupils with conditions such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech/language needs
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews, interventions, and support plans
- Fostering confidence, independence, and positive social interactions among students
- Collaborating with SENCOs, teachers, external agencies, and parents
- Mentoring junior Teaching Assistants and promoting team cohesion
- Ensuring all safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing standards are upheld

About You
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have substantial experience in supporting children with SEND in a school setting
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive education and effective intervention strategies
- Comfortably support pupils with complex learning needs and a diverse range of challenges
- Possess outstanding communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Remain calm, patient, and positive in demanding situations
- Share a passion for enabling every child to achieve their individual potential
- Hold an Enhanced DBS status (on the Update Service) or are willing to obtain one
