Senior Physiotherapist – Neurology and Stroke Adult Physiotherapy Team

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Neurology and Stroke Adult Physiotherapy team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. If you are passionate about providing excellent patient care, developing services, and building a successful team, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate must demonstrate:

  • Expert knowledge and skills in highly specialist assessment, treatment, and education for neurology and stroke inpatients, outpatients, and their families or carers.
  • Ability to collaborate with the ** Lead Senior Physiotherapist** to support service delivery across acute in-patients and rehabilitation and outpatients.
  • Flexibility, proven time management and communication skills, and the ability to compassionately lead and support teams while maintaining an effective, efficient, and inclusive work environment.

Core Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Leadership

  • Coordinate and monitor an effective and efficient neurology and stroke physiotherapy service covering:
    • Acute inpatients
    • Rehabilitation
    • Outpatients
  • Work closely with the Lead Senior Physiotherapist to prioritise workload effectively across all service elements.
  • Assess, treat, and educate patients referred to Neurology and Stroke Physiotherapy.

Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate with the Head of Physiotherapy to evaluate existing services and develop improvements in alignment with Trust and Integrated Care System needs.

Expertise & Support

  • Provide specialist clinical advice in Neurology and Stroke Physiotherapy.
  • Update knowledge annually on therapeutic management, care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for neurology and stroke patients.
