About the role
The LSEG Design UX team is seeking a Lead Experience Designer—a talented, user-obsessed, visually inspired professional who can craft simply beautiful customer journeys and UX experiences for our clients. Join a diverse, creative, passionate, multi-disciplinary team of service designers, UX designers, visual designers, and frontend developers dedicated to turning complex experience challenges into elegant, innovative, and user-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a fundamental role in leading and delivering strategic, LSEG-wide customer experience initiatives by:
- Collaborating with the team to develop concepts and deliver responsive design experiences for LSEG’s digital ecosystem.
- Engaging directly with end users while liaising with:
- Product owners
- Technical architects
- Technology partners
- Combining qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform design decisions.
- Advocating for user experience in discussions with:
- Business teams
- Development teams
- Leadership
- Ensuring consistency of UX while leveraging LSEG’s strong brand architecture and design systems to accelerate agile delivery.

Ideal candidates will:
- Champion innovative, end-to-end service experiences across LSEG’s digital platforms.
- Inspire designs that are clear, useful, easy-to-use, innovative, and efficiently built.
- Defend design decisions while balancing user needs, brand consistency, technical constraints, and business goals.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Develop conceptual designs, customer journey maps, and heuristic analyses.
- Prototype design solutions using interactive tools and hand-off designs for hands-on delivery.
- Be the user experience advocate—acting as the primary voice while advocating balance between empathy, impact, and business objectives.
- Blending qualitative and quantitative insights to inform and refine work.
- Stakeholder management—leading workshops and driving clear outcomes over months of in-depth service design.
- Align with user-centred design principles to build empathetically inclusive and accessible experiences.
Requirements & Skills
Mandatory
- A Bachelor’s degree in:
- Service Design
- Interaction Design
- Information Design
- Product Design
- Or equivalent professional experience.
- Exceptional leadership ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- A design portfolio demonstrating passion for user experience, evidence of hands-on delivery, and a knack for storytelling.
- Experience with Figma (from supercharged ideas to robust appearances).
- Ability to sonത്ത് noung Vernal collaboration and negotiation while maintaining professional design convictions.
- Execute with agility: sizing tasks with clarity (defining ‘Definition of Ready’).
- Cleaner and disciplined:
- Fast-paced environments
- High design standards
- Understanding of data-first personas and their collaborative potential.
- Deep expertise in user design principles, including:
- Information architecture
- Information flows
- Heuristic analyses
- Search experiences
