Lead Software Engineer

If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, mentoring talented developers and still wants to stay hands-on with code, this is an opportunity to help shape a mission-critical platform used alongside AI, autonomous systems and advanced hardware. You'll have genuine influence over technical decisions, product direction and the growth of the engineering team from day one.

What's in it for you?

  • Highly competitive salary plus a generous equity package
  • Lead a team while remaining a hands-on engineer
  • Work on technically challenging software with real-world impact
  • Influence architecture, product strategy and engineering standards
  • Collaborate with exceptional engineers, designers and product leaders
  • Private healthcare and dental cover
  • 7% employer pension contribution

The opportunity

You'll take ownership of a key area of a modern enterprise software platform, leading a small team while continuing to design, build and deliver high-quality software yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
