Build Circle is a progressive technology consultancy partnering with scale-ups, SMEs and enterprise organisations to enhance business value, speed and quality.
As product-led consultants, we draw on real-world experience in scaling hypergrowth companies such as Just Eat and Moonpig. We provide support by integrating principal-level staff to improve capability and culture, or by standing up whole teams to tackle complex challenges swiftly. We also offer strategic guidance on architectural roadmaps, talent, hiring and scaling.
Our ethos rests on two core beliefs:
- Engineering should focus primarily on delivering value.
- We believe great people create great culture and great products.
Engineering excellence extends well beyond technical mastery - it is problem-focused, pragmatic, accountable and humble here at Build Circle. Striking a balance between enhancements and swift delivery, we prioritise "getting things done" above all and take responsibility for owning delivery improvements as we go. Flexibility is key to creating successful partnerships. We take a problem-first approach and work with organisations to tailor a strategy and partnership that will deliver the best outcome to their goals.
You should apply if ✅
- You have experience leading technical teams (ideally cross-functional teams in more than one organisation).
- You are confident in developing, releasing, and maintaining web applications in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- You're comfortable working full-stack, even if you are stronger on the backend or front end.
- You have experience writing microservices on top of container-based architectures (e.g., K8s, Docker).
- You have native experience with AWS, Azure, or similar platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).
- Well-versed in Agile/Lean principles.
- You can seed new projects and repositories.
- You know what good CI/CD looks like and how to automate quality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
