About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Global Technology - Container Platforms team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of our technological infrastructure by designing, developing, and deploying innovative platforms that support our core business operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and reliable systems using modern container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry. Your expertise will be instrumental in simplifying deployment processes, enhancing operational stability, and driving automation initiatives. This position is ideal for a forward-thinking professional passionate about building from scratch, solving complex technical challenges, and leading innovative projects within a collaborative environment that values diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership skills, including:
- Extensive hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as GoLang and familiarity with AI Engineering Tooling like Claude Code, Copilot, or Codex.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and various testing paradigms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically, systemically, and creatively to solve complex problems.
- Understanding of the financial services industry and its IT systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot innovative software solutions aligned with business needs.
- Create secure, high-quality, and observable production code, conducting code reviews and debugging as necessary.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues, enhancing operational efficiency and stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical capabilities.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies by leading communities of practice within the software engineering domain.
- Foster a team culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence across projects.
- Mentor team members and support their professional development.
- Champion innovative approaches to technical challenges, encouraging creative problem-solving.
