Lead Software Engineer
London (Hybrid – 2 days per week) | £110,000–£150,000 + Equity
You could join one of London's fastest-growing AI scale-ups as they enter the next stage of growth following a major funding round.
Already trusted by over 1,200 customers, they're now building the next generation of their platform around agentic AI, creating intelligent systems that can reason, coordinate, and automate complex workflows. They're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of that platform.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys solving difficult engineering problems, shaping architecture, and raising the technical bar across an exceptional engineering team.
The Role
You'll take ownership of architecture and technical design across a modern distributed platform, helping shape how AI systems are built and deployed at scale.
Working closely with senior engineers and leadership, you'll lead the design of resilient backend systems, drive key technical decisions, and build the foundations of an agentic AI platform using modern LLM infrastructure and workflow orchestration.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
