Mission
Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.
In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.
Role Purpose
As a Lead Software Engineer in Product Engineering, you will be responsible for designing and building high-polish, fail-safe user experiences across our member-facing applications and clinical workflows. This role blends deep system design, product thinking, and AI-native engineering excellence.
You will lead by example in an environment where engineers invest in understanding the "why" before deciding the "how," own outcomes end-to-end, and look for the architectural change or automation that makes things 10x better rather than incrementally improved. You will work across Product, Data Science, and Hardware teams in a vertically integrated organisation where your decisions directly influence member trust, clinic reliability, and Neko's ability to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
