Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer (Python)

Salary: Up to £110,000–£140,000 Location: London (Hybrid)

High growth FinTech breaking into new markets and are now building out new teams to support this expansion.

You will be a hands-on technical leader, owning architecture and delivery while still contributing deeply to backend development, system design, and platform reliability.

This is a critical hire, you will lead a team of engineers while helping to define engineering standards, improve system performance, and ensure the platform scales reliably as the business grows.

  • Strong commercial experience in Python engineering
  • Proven experience leading engineers
  • Domain experience across FinTech, Insurance, Trading, Banking etc
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs and production services
