The Role
Purpose of the Role:
As a Lead Software Test Engineer, you’ll oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the New Management System (NMS) is designed, planned, executed, and verified with adherence to project delivery lifecycle requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and assurance of a critical software system supporting satellite operations for government communications.
- Collaborate with the Software Architect and Lead Software Engineer to deliver software solutions on tight deadlines across multiple project phases.
- Manage a team of software engineering resources, ensuring the delivery of work packages on time.
- Work within an Agile software team to:
- Create, review, and oversee Test Plans and Test Scripts for User Stories, Business Requirements, or System Requirements.
- Assist in defining testing processes and appropriate tooling.
- Provide hands-on execution of manual and automated testing, ensuring accurate, verifiable test records.
- Document guidelines (e.g. Software Delivery Plans) and design products, updates, and improvements.
- Analyse data and track performance metrics to ensure system reliability and effectiveness.

Key Essentials
Your profile should include:
- Hands-on experience with development in C# as a core language.
- Experience leading a team of any size, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills.
