The Lead Salesforce Architect will be responsible for leading the solution architecture and owning the technology roadmaps for our business-critical Salesforce Platforms. They will evaluate our business needs alongside our chosen implementation partners and identify how Salesforce technology can deliver those needs. They will design solutions ensuring performance, usability, and scalable configuration that meets business needs across B2C and B2B teams.

This role will help us scale our platforms and processes as our usage of Salesforce continues to grow. You’ll support our users to understand and realise the potential of the Salesforce products we use – Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Data360.

The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate evidence of strong stakeholder management skills, be well versed in supporting a team of architects, able to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and should be an effective communicator. You will liaise with various departments including Omnichannel, Commercial, Finance, IT and Analytics. The role includes working closely with BAs and engineering teams based in the UK and overseas.

The Role:

  • Lead the creation, analysis and review of assigned solution architectures involving the Salesforce Platform
  • Responsible for the overall design of solutions within the Salesforce Platform, aligning customer/business requirements to system/technical requirements using best practices, design patterns and existing assets
  • Defines the system components, services, technologies and designs required to implement a solution that represents the intersection of Business, Information, Application and Technology architecture domains.
  • Contributes to the Currys technology standards, identifying and delivering key differentiating technologies to Currys, to create a step-change in cost, capability and/or insight.
  • Responsible for development of End-to-End solutions/initiatives across the Salesforce Platform, including all aspects of the technology solution (Hardware, Software, Operability, Scalability etc).
  • Ability to lead reviews of architecture designs and capabilities within the Salesforce Platform
  • Acts as a solution leader for solutions within the Salesforce, providing work guidance to development teams
  • Capable of implementing and reviewing complex software designs for features on the Salesforce Platform
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to influence technology choices, ensuring Salesforce is used appropriately
  • Support Technology and Business leaders using Salesforce to “solve” business problems
  • Provide technical leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem and connected systems to ensure the solutions conform with best practices and reduce technical complexity/technical debt from the existing platform.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior architects, Salesforce administrators and development teams to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement

  • Deep understanding and experience in multi-cloud Salesforce solutions that need to interact with legacy systems
  • 5+ years Salesforce experience, including architect-level roles
  • Well versed in Solution Architecture, including networks, data, application, system and integration architectures
  • Knowledge of Commerce, Sales and Service Clouds essential. Marketing and Data 360
  • Understanding of multi-cloud Salesforce solutions using the Salesforce product suite
  • Familiarity with process maps, BRDs, system diagrams, user experience, application maps, test plans, and user stories
  • Integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, ETL)
  • Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow
  • Must have experience of working in an API First space
