We offer a competitive salary (up to £95,000), depending on experience.

Job Location & Hours
- Initial location: Bradford (relocating to Leeds Valley Park from summer 2026)
- Hybrid working: 2–3 days in the office (Bradford/Leeds)
- Permanent position: 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Key responsibilities include:
- Building, leading, and scaling Yorkshire’s Solutions Architecture function (across Applications, Security, Data, OT, and Infrastructure)
- Defining strategic vision, roadmaps, and capabilities, ensuring short- and long-term priorities are met
- Attracting & developing high-calibre architecture teams through succession planning and coaching
- Implementing best-practice frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) to ensure architectural excellence across major transformation programmes
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex, cross-domain challenges
- Aligning technology strategy and investments with enterprise goals, current projects, and future ambitions
- Leveraging emerging technology trends and translating industry insights into value-driven solutions
- Enabling secure partnerships with third-party providers (for assurance and market insights)
- Ensuring robust governance and quality assurance throughout delivery
Skills & Qualifications
You’ll need a strong leadership track record in similar roles and the ability to:
- Build and drive high-performance architecture teams, fostering collaboration while scaling capabilities
- Manage technical debt and future-proof solutions for long-term value
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders (from team leads to executive CXOs), balancing technical rigor with strategic goals
- Demonstrate expertise in architectural frameworks (TOGAF, etc.) while tailoring approaches to business needs
- Shape and grow architecture functions by recruiting and developing talent
- Produce clear, visually compelling architectural artefacts (roadmaps, strategies, tangible designs)
- Maintain a broad technical knowledge across applications, security, data, and OT
- Exhibit an inspiring leadership style with exceptional coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving skills
