Role Responsibilities
Alpha FMC is seeking highly motivated Implementation Specialists to join our growing team. You will bring strong front-/middle-/back-office technology skills and a drive to build distinctive, world-class offerings for clients. In this role, you will provide a strategic perspective on investment technology selections and implementation decisions, lead and manage specialist teams to deliver change across the Investment Management Solutions technology landscape, advise on solutions and operating models, and partner with client stakeholders to deliver value on time and on budget. - Lead end-to-end front-/middle-/back-office implementations, including: current-state assessment, requirements gathering, workflow design, configuration, data integration, test planning and execution, and training/procedure documentation
- Own project planning and project management, including a detailed statement of work and task plan to ensure a successful implementation
- Lead project governance, including regular status meetings, task and budget tracking, and proactive communication with clients and the Alpha delivery team
- Ensure deliverables and documentation align to requirements, specifications, and industry best practices
- Define, promote, and coach junior peers in implementation best practices (e.g., SDLC, migration strategy, and QA/testing standards)
- Drive internal accelerators and propositions within an IMS and front-/middle-/back-office framework
- Oversee and accountable for business & technical workflow handover to client teams upon completion of engagement
Role Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience with implementations, project management, and/or production support role with a focus on configuration of technology such as SimCorp One/Dimension, Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River IMS, Bloomberg AIM, FactSet, Finbourne, or Ridgeline – with preference toward SimCorp One/Dimension experience
- Deep understanding of the Asset and/or Wealth Management value chain - spanning multiple client segments, investment products, and operating models.
- Must be comfortable leading executive-level workshops, steering committees, and program forums.
- Proficiency in database management, including experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, & AWS
- Specialist experience and/or Project Management experience in at least three of the following Front-/Middle-/Back Office focus areas:
- Portfolio Management
- Trading
- Operations
- Data Warehousing and Reporting
- Alt. Investments
- Performance & Attribution
- Risk & Analytics
- Compliance & Regulation
- Transaction/Position/Cash Reconciliation
- ABOR/IBOR
- Expert level understanding of investment products and asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternatives, etc. - with the proven ability to translate investment and business needs into operating and technology design requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data engineering programming languages
- Proven architectural strategy & implementation experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, & AWS
- Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, modelling, data governance, and data quality management
- Experience leading small to medium-sized teams in an implementation or consulting environment
- Openness to travel depending on client preference

The anticipated base salary for this role varies based on geographic location and is structured across three compensation zones. These zones reflect local market conditions and cost of labor. Geographic placement is determined by the employee’s primary work location.
- Zone A | $156,800 – $239,400 Applies to candidates working in designated high-cost metropolitan areas, including: Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; and Washington, DC, as well as remote roles based in Massachusetts or the New York Tri-State Area.
- Zone B | $142,400 – $216,600 Applies to candidates working in key metropolitan markets, including: Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Denver, CO; and Philadelphia, PA, as well as remote roles based in Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Colorado.
- Zone C | $134,800 – $207,100 Applies to all other U.S. locations not listed above.
- Toronto | CAD 173,200 - CAD 299,250 Applies to candidates working in the Toronto region
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. We are committed to equitable and transparent compensation practices across all locations.
