Lead Vet Opportunity at Muswell Hill Practice

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step in their career and join us as Lead Vet at our well-established Muswell Hill practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to combine clinical expertise with leadership, guiding a skilled and supportive team while shaping the future direction of the clinic.

Responsibilities

As Lead Vet, you will be accountable for the clinical leadership of the veterinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care for patients and clients, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance with regulatory and practice requirements. You will work closely with the Practice Manager to support the growth and commercial success of the practice, making this a role with both clinical and strategic influence.

Requirements

This position is ideally suited to a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 4 years UK experience, confident in routine surgery, diagnostics, and case management, who is ready to develop their leadership skills. You will have the autonomy to lead your team and shape clinical standards, with the added benefit of Medivet’s wider support network, regional leadership, and access to advanced facilities within our 24-hour hospital.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
