About the Role in Leicester

Thurnby Fields is a luxury residential and dementia care home in Leicester. We provide state-of-the-art facilities, including:

  • 73 large, en-suite bedrooms
  • 10 luxury care suites
  • Luxurious lounges, dining rooms, and a café-bar
  • On-site cinema and professional aesthetic salon

We are excited to offer the role of Lead Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coordinator, overseeing a stimulating activities and volunteer programme for our residents. This hands-on position requires organisation of both internal and external communications about activities, volunteer coordination, local community networking, and resident engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organising engaging social, physical, and mental stimulation activities for dementia-affected and general residents.
  • Building local business, organisation, and school relationships for community partnerships.
  • Recruiting, training, and placing volunteers within the home to support the activity team.
  • Running fundraising events and special occasions (e.g. Christmas entertainment, Ascot trips).
  • Publishing a monthly activities programme with feedback from the General Manager.
  • Encouraging residents and team members to participate in activities.
  • Updating poster notices and internal communication boards.

Requirements

Essential

  • Healthy and medically able to perform duties (assistive aids permitted where needed).
  • Previous work experience in a similar home care environment.
  • Confident computer skills and fluency in Microsoft Office.
  • Full, clean driving licence with over 21 years of age (training provided for minibus licence).
