The Role
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Leadership Development Partner to join our People team and lead the design and delivery of practical, high-impact management and leadership development solutions across the Group.
You'll lead the design and delivery of development programmes focused on management fundamentals, including performance management, coaching, feedback, team leadership, employee engagement, and leading change. You'll also help shape development pathways for emerging talent, new managers, and future leaders, ensuring development activity aligns with organisational priorities and workforce capability needs.
Using business insight, performance data, and stakeholder feedback, you'll identify capability gaps and develop scalable solutions that drive performance, engagement, and long-term organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management Development
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging management and leadership development programmes that support business priorities and organisational effectiveness.
- Create and maintain a clear framework that defines what great management and leadership look like across the organisation.
- Develop practical learning solutions including workshops, toolkits, guides, coaching resources, digital learning, and blended development programmes.
- Ensure all development activity is relevant, accessible, and focused on embedding behavioural change and practical application.
Building Management Capability
- Equip managers with the tools, skills, and confidence to effectively lead, develop, and motivate their teams.
- Design and deliver interventions focused on performance management, development conversations, coaching, feedback, objective setting, and manager accountability.
- Support the consistent adoption of management standards and expectations across all business areas.
- Build coaching capability across the organisation and promote effective leadership behaviours at all levels.
Performance & Feedback Culture
- Lead initiatives that strengthen a culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement.
- Develop resources and programmes that improve the quality and impact of performance conversations.
- Support managers in moving beyond process-driven approaches towards meaningful discussions that drive engagement, accountability, and development.

Talent & Leadership Development
- Develop structured leadership pathways for emerging talent, first-line managers, experienced managers, and future leaders.
- Partner with People teams to align development activity with succession planning and talent strategies.
- Design targeted development interventions that support talent progression and leadership readiness.
- Help create sustainable development solutions that build capability over the long term.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the Group to understand capability requirements and business challenges.
- Provide expert guidance and challenge where appropriate to drive improvements in leadership and management practice.
- Work collaboratively with People Partners and wider People teams to ensure development activity supports organisational goals.
- Manage external providers and development partners where required.
Data, Insight & Continuous Improvement
- Analyse engagement data, feedback, performance metrics, and organisational insight to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
- Measure the effectiveness and impact of development interventions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Regularly review programmes and resources to ensure they remain relevant, impactful, and aligned to business needs.
Inclusion, Wellbeing & Culture
- Embed inclusive leadership practices across all development activity.
- Promote leadership behaviours that support wellbeing, psychological safety, and positive employee experiences.
- Ensure managers are equipped to lead diverse, inclusive, and high-performing teams.
What You’ll Need
Experience & Knowledge
- Significant experience designing and delivering management and leadership development solutions within a medium to large organisation.
- Proven success in building management capability through practical learning interventions and development programmes.
- Strong understanding of leadership development, adult learning principles, and behavioural change methodologies.
- Experience developing managers in key areas including performance management, coaching, feedback, employee engagement, and team leadership.
- Demonstrable experience designing learning solutions that drive measurable improvements in capability and organisational performance.
- Experience using data, insight, and feedback to identify development needs and evaluate programme effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline development.
- Experience creating scalable and sustainable development solutions that can be implemented across multiple teams or locations.

Qualifications
- CIPD qualified, or equivalent experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or Human Resources.
- Coaching qualification desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with leadership, learning, and organisational development best practice.
