Hourly Rate: £20.35

Shift Rotation: Night Shifts

Are you ready to take your career up a gear? We have a vacancy for a full-time Leading Driver for Oxford at Stagecoach West.

What will the role entail?

  • Work effectively within the Operations team to support daily bus services
  • Foster cooperation between Traffic, Engineering and other depots
  • Open and secure the depot at the start and end of duties
  • Oversee vehicle allocation and daily run-out services
  • Ensure cost-effective duty coverage using systems such as Grampian and EP Morris
  • Monitor service performance and address early/late running
  • Undertake drug and alcohol tests as required
  • Respond to operational issues and assist with customer complaints
  • Undertake driving duties and assist with administration as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Be flexible to meet operational requirements

The Leading Driver will play a vital role in supporting daily bus operations by supervising driver performance and ensuring service reliability. This role combines leadership responsibilities with driving duties and acts as a key point of contact between drivers and management.

  • Must have PCV (Category D) licence
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills
  • High attention to detail and operational awareness
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to use Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word and OneDrive
