Are you ready to take your career up a gear? We have a vacancy for a full-time Leading Driver for Oxford at Stagecoach West.
What will the role entail?
- Work effectively within the Operations team to support daily bus services
- Foster cooperation between Traffic, Engineering and other depots
- Open and secure the depot at the start and end of duties
- Oversee vehicle allocation and daily run-out services
- Ensure cost-effective duty coverage using systems such as Grampian and EP Morris
- Monitor service performance and address early/late running
- Undertake drug and alcohol tests as required
- Respond to operational issues and assist with customer complaints
- Undertake driving duties and assist with administration as needed
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Be flexible to meet operational requirements
The Leading Driver will play a vital role in supporting daily bus operations by supervising driver performance and ensuring service reliability. This role combines leadership responsibilities with driving duties and acts as a key point of contact between drivers and management.

What we want from you
- Must have PCV (Category D) licence
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills
- High attention to detail and operational awareness
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to use Office 365 applications including Outlook, Word and OneDrive
