Leakage Reporting Analyst
Location: South Wales (Hybrid working available)
Finlay Jude Associates are currently recruiting for a Leakage Reporting Analyst to support our client in Waste and Clean Water Operations. You will support the delivery of leakage reduction targets by analysing operational and performance data generated by leakage teams.
Working across multiple systems and data sources, you will interpret complex datasets, understand how they support business processes, and provide clear, actionable insights to both internal stakeholders and clients.
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving data quality by auditing, cleansing, and validating leakage data within associated systems. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of key leakage model components such as Natural Rate of Rise (NRR), Performance & Efficiency (P&E), night use allowances, and hour-to-day conversion factors.
The role carries primary responsibility for analysing leakage performance data linked to performance-related contracts, ensuring data accuracy and reliability for use in monthly performance reviews and payment meetings.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret leakage performance data to support contractual target achievement and operational efficiency
- Audit, cleanse, validate, and maintain leakage datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity
- Work across multiple systems and data sources, identifying how data is utilised within operational and reporting processes
- Validate key leakage metrics and model components, including NRR, P&E, night use allowances, and conversion factors
- Prepare, verify, and support data submissions for monthly performance and payment meetings
- Identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with operational and technical teams
- Produce clear, concise, and actionable insights and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with leakage teams, analysts, and programme management to align operational performance with reporting outputs
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of data models, reporting processes, and analytical tools
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions using Microsoft 365 tools
- Ensure compliance with company data governance policies, quality standards, and client requirements

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in data analysis, ideally within the water industry, utilities, or a performance-driven operational environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively
- Proven experience in data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance processes
- Understanding of leakage reporting metrics and models, including NRR, P&E, night use allowances, and conversion factors, is highly desirable
- Experience using leakage reporting systems such as Waternet and Netbase
- Familiarity with supplier portals including WaterCore and DataGate
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, advanced formulas, and data analysis tools
- Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting platforms
- Ability to manage and reconcile multiple data sources while improving overall data integrity
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach to data handling and analysis
