# Leakage Learning & Development Coach – UK-Wide (Field-Based with Remote Delivery)
Finlay Jude Associates are partnered with a specialist training provider in the water industry, seeking an experienced Leakage Learning & Development Coach to support learners in technical programmes and apprenticeships.
About the Role
This hands-on opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in:
- Leakage detection
- Clean water networks
- Field-based water operations
You’ll coach learners through practical training and remote sessions, ensuring they develop technical and operational skills in leak management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality coaching, training, and assessment in:
- Noise correlation and acoustic leakage detection
- Step testing techniques
- Pressure management strategies
- District Meter Area (DMA) monitoring
- Conduct remote learning sessions, workplace visits, and live training demonstrations
- Provide progress reviews and career guidance to assist learners in meeting learning objectives
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements
- Build strong collaborative relationships with operational managers and learners
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, training documentation, and regulatory support

Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in the water industry, preferably in:
- Leakage detection
- Network technician roles
- Field technician operations
- Deep understanding of leakage detection tools, including:
- Correlators
- Acoustic sensors/loggers
- Pressure testing equipment
- Exceptional communication skills with a passion for supporting and mentoring others
- Self-motivated, organized, with the ability to work independently or in teams
- Comfortable delivering remote training and field-based demonstrations
Desirable but Not Essential
- Assessor/Teaching qualifications (e.g., AET, PTLLS, CAVA/TAQA) – ongoing training can be provided
- Training experience mentoring new recruits or delivery Junior Technician Apprenticeships
