Leakage Technician
# Leakage Technician – Water Utilities Company
FJA are working in partnership with a major water utilities company to recruit experienced Leakage Technicians to support day-to-day leak detection operations.
Role Overview
As a Leakage Technician, you’ll be responsible for identifying and locating water leaks across the network using specialist equipment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining water efficiency and supporting repair teams with accurate leak detection.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed surveys to identify the type and location of leaks, particularly on large diameter pipes
- Use specialist equipment, including:
- Correlators
- Pipe tracers
- Ground microphones
- Listening sticks
- Support repair teams by pinpointing leak locations
- Carry out project and survey work beyond routine leak detection
- Complete all required documentation accurately, such as:
- Time sheets
- Survey forms
- Leak reports

Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with Trunk Mains, Validation, and Seepage techniques
- Experience working within water distribution networks
Preferred Certifications
- EUSR Water Hygiene Training
- Unit 2 Street Works
Requirements
- Full and valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Proficiency in using leak detection tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
