Learner Support Assistant
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £26,300 to £29,200 per annum (FTE)
Position: Part-time (4 days per week)
Contract: 1 year

The Role
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Learner Support Assistant to join our team in Liverpool. This pivotal role involves providing essential support to learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning and ensuring they have the resources and encouragement needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist learners with their educational and personal development needs, offering guidance and support tailored to individual requirements.
- Work closely with teaching staff to support classroom activities and deliver one-to-one or small group interventions.
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to tutors and management to help inform learning plans.
- Help learners develop essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy.
- Support learners facing challenges such as additional learning needs, disabilities, or social and emotional difficulties.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of learner support activities and liaise with external agencies where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working in an educational or learner support role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the challenges learners may face and strategies to support diverse needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised with excellent record-keeping abilities.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with digital learning tools.
- Relevant qualifications in education, teaching support, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
