Job Description

Are you passionate about inspiring young people who have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues to achieve their full potential?

Do you want to make a positive impact on our communities by helping young people to thrive in further education? Then this could be the role for you.

JOB TITLE: Learner Support Officer

LOCATION: Downham Market

HOURS: 37 hours per week / 36 weeks per year

SALARY: £21,359 - £21,691 (Inclusive of holiday pay) (£25,749 - £26,149 FTE)

Due to increasing student numbers and investment into our inclusive learning provision we are recruiting for additional Learner Support Officers to join our team at Downham Market to support our Bridge to Engagement learners.

Our Bridge to Engagement programme enables learners who may not be comfortable at a larger campus to access further education in a small, bespoke campus. Our group sizes are small, meaning that we can offer a highly supported environment, enabling our learners to develop and progress to either further study or employment.

Our support team are integral in providing learners with the tools, knowledge and confidence that they need to succeed, and we are proud of the success of these programmes.

Our Bridge to Engagement provision programmes are designed to support young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) issues. We are looking for innovative and passionate Learner Support Officers who are confident in managing challenging behaviour.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
