Learning and Development Advisor

£40,000 per annum – Permanent – Full Time – Hybrid (2 Office Days per week)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the People team at Wandle Housing Association. We’re looking for an engaging individual with a strong emphasis on people and culture who can add value to our people strategy plans.

As the Learning and Development Advisor, you will work in partnership with key stakeholders, with your primary focus being to improve the learning and development offer at Wandle.

You will enhance the onboarding experience for new colleagues, manage both internal and external training programmes, and monitor and report key metrics. Your responsibilities will include designing, facilitating, and evaluating workshops—both in-person and online.

Responsibilities

  • Advising teams: Offer guidance to managers and colleagues on available learning opportunities, considering the diverse learning needs of our workforce while building and maintaining relationships to conduct annual organisational needs analysis.
  • Onboarding improvement: Develop ways to enhance the onsboarding process and experience for new starters, monitoring feedback and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Blended learning interventions: Create high-quality Learning and Development interventions using a blended learning approach, aligned with our values and equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.

Requirements

Essential

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified CIPD (in L&D), or equivalent learning and development experience.
  • Experience in a similar L&D role within Social Housing or the Public Sector.
  • Proficient in planning and delivering Learning and Development sessions (in-person and online), including eLearning.
  • Proficient in computer use, with strong data gathering and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills in a similar role, capable of building effective working relationships.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS setup) is an added advantage.
