Learning and Development Consultant
Learning and Development Consultant
Milton Keynes / Hybrid / Must be willing to travel
You care about helping people grow. So do we. If you get a genuine buzz from watching someone develop, level up, and hit their potential, we want to talk to you. We're looking for a Learning and Development Consultant (ideally with some exposure to the recruitment world) who's ready to make a real, visible impact on how people grow their careers here. This is a pivotal role within our People team that has the opportunity to shape the future of our organisation.
About Us... TXM stands for "The Xtra Mile." It's been our name since 2005, when the business started, and it's stuck for a reason. We’ve grown into a group of 12 brands and 350+ people across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and the Middle East, with a turnover of around £300m. We're a workforce solutions and consulting business, helping organisations solve talent and people challenges that don't have simple answers. We've grown quickly, and we're still growing. But the people doing the work are what makes that possible, which is why we take development seriously rather than treating it as an afterthought.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
