Learning and Development Coordinator
Brighton/London

Job Summary
This is an L&D Operations role; you will work within the Global Talent Management & Inclusion Team (GTMI) supporting both the Learning and Development and Talent Management teams. Strong candidates will be enthusiastic, dedicated, and focused on strategic development and delivery of Rakuten’s learning and development programs. The candidate will be a highly motivated professional with demonstrated organizational and communication skills. This will be a 6-month fixed term contract working hybrid from our Frederick Place, Brighton location.
The candidate should be extremely proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a high-level of initiative. Additionally, the candidate must be able to grow positive working relationships with partners and colleagues across all geographical regions. The candidate must be flexible and possess outstanding intuition and decision-making skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational
- Optimism University’s regional point person for the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), Absorb
- Provide Tier 2 global support for LMS and training enquiries alongside acting as point of contact for Tier 1 Zendesk Support
- Assist in the creation of reports that outline trends in learning and YTD metrics
- Support in the administration of external learning platform Udemy
- Assist in the support of business unit specific requests in relation to the LMS
- Assist the wider Operations team with ad-hoc requests and projects
- Ensuring global SOP’s and FAQ’s are kept up to date

Training Coordination
- Support Programme Managers in the coordination and administration of global programmes
- Creating, editing, and maintaining global courses on the LMS, Absorb
- Administering pre-work and post-work when necessary
- Manage the DiSC and EPIC platform for administration of global assessments
- In partnership with Programme Managers, work with platforms such as Powtoon and Articulate to create training material
Communications & Marketing
- Work with global Corporate Communications teams to send out Spotlight Courses, Quarterly Newsletters, and any ad-hoc marketing requirements
- Work with the internal team to effectively market programmes
Minimum Requirements
Technical / functional expertise
- Strong MS Office knowledge, ideally within MS Excel
Desired Requirements
- Experience managing and executing on coordination of different learning and development programs
- Strong organizational, written and verbal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects with little guidance
- Ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders
- Ability to work well with others globally and support different time zones in a timely manner
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in
- Experience working with an LMS is beneficial but not required
