Learning and Development Coordinator

Why Greencore?

After combining with Bakkavor in January 2026, Greencore is now one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, driven by a simple purpose: to make everyday taste better.

Operating as a vibrant and fast-paced business, we take pride in employing over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn in FY25 by bringing delicious food to life across every meal occasion—from breakfast to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacks in between.

Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, ensures fresh and frozen food—both our own and from trusted partners—reaches thousands of stores daily, guaranteeing exceptional quality for consumers wherever they shop.

About the Role

Our Park Royal site (NW10 7AQ), a high-performing 1,200-person sandwich manufacturing operation in West London, prides itself on a settled and engaged workforce. Our Learning & Development (L&D) function is now seeking an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to carry forward its growth and success.

You’ll be responsible for full-cycle ownership of this site’s L&D programs, balancing strategic vision with practical, hands-on delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering employee training from line-level inductions up to senior leadership development.
  • Leading and coaching the site’s Operational Trainers, ensuring well-structured, effective training plans.
  • Providing flawless first-day inductions and supporting new starters through onboarding, helping them transition into confident, capable, and highly engaged colleagues.
  • Engaging with a diverse, multicultural workforce. With our sites reflecting the surrounding communities, you must create training that resonates with colleagues whose first language may not be English.
  • Managing the site’s training planning and reporting processes, including frequent use of Microsoft Excel for analysis and decision-making.
  • Maintaining audit readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.
  • Coordinating external training suppliers, budgets, and reporting.
  • Being an ambassador for L&D, both internally (e.g., on the floor) and externally (e.g., LinkedIn, sector networks, local college partnerships).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
