About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join a growing, people-focused organisation at a pivotal stage of its development. This is a leadership role with the opportunity to influence strategy, drive change, and help shape the future capability of a diverse and ambitious workforce.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Learning & Development Director, you will lead a dedicated L&D team while partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to deliver a learning agenda that supports both immediate priorities and long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a strategic Learning & Development roadmap aligned to business objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing L&D team
- Design and implement engaging learning programmes across technical, leadership, and professional development areas
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify capability gaps and future workforce requirements
- Manage external learning providers and training partners
- Drive innovation through digital learning platforms and emerging technologies
- Measure learning effectiveness through data, analytics, and ROI reporting
- Oversee learning budgets, supplier spend, and Apprenticeship Levy management
- Ensure compliance, governance, and mandatory training requirements are effectively managed

Qualifications
We're looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional who combines strategic thinking with strong delivery capability. You will ideally possess:
- CIPD Level 5 or above (Chartered CIPD desirable)
- Experience leading Learning & Development functions or teams
- A proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning strategies
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working with leadership teams to drive organisational capability
- A data-driven approach to measuring learning outcomes and business impact
- Knowledge of digital learning platforms and modern learning methodologies
- Strong commercial awareness and project management capability
