Learning And Development Specialist
We're looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Knowledge Management department and design and deliver high-quality learning interventions that make a real impact across the firm. This role can be based out of either our Nottingham, Manchester or Birmingham offices.
The role
As a Learning & Development Specialist, you'll work closely with the L&D Manager and the wider Knowledge Management department, taking ownership of the design and delivery of engaging learning programmes and building confident relationships with stakeholders at all levels. This opportunity would suit someone with solid L&D experience, ideally from a professional services background, who is proactive, creative and able to adapt readily to changing priorities with a positive, can-do mindset.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering broad-appeal training programmes and resources, including face-to-face, virtual and self-serve interventions that appeal to a range of learning styles.
- Reviewing and revising learning resources to ensure accuracy, clarity and alignment with learning goals, and designing post-learning feedback and pulse checks to gather meaningful learner insights.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the firm and developing and maintaining partnerships with external training providers to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
