Learning and Development Technologist
Role: Learning & Development Technologist
Duration: 12-month secondment Location: National / blended working with base at Scottish Ambulance Service locations
About the Role
A dynamic opportunity has opened for a Learning & Development Technologist to join the Education & Professional Development Department (EPDD).
This role will deliver specialist support to Scotland’s national digital learning function, aiding EPDD in delivering programmes across the Scottish Ambulance Service. The postholder will enhance core areas including:
- Learner Management Systems (LMS)
- Digital learning resources and e-learning development
- Learner data management, reporting and assurance
- Support for staff, students and stakeholders
- National education delivery and programme assistance
Key focus areas will include Learning in Practice and wider national education initiatives, ensuring long-term digital learning sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to national digital learning strategies aligned to EPDD priorities
- Lead development and support for e-learning assets and digital resources
- Implement and monitor learner data networks, ensuring accuracy and actionable reporting
- Stakeholder support, including multinational team collaboration
- Facilitate scalable delivery of national education programmes
- Address digital transformation challenges specific to the ambulance service

Skills & Experience
Required: ✔ Deep expertise in digital learning platforms and LMS (e.g., TURAS) ✔ Proficient with Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise, Relay) ✔ Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tools:
- SharePoint
- Forms
- Power Automate
- Power BI reporting
- Workflow integration ✔ Strong data management inclination: collecting, analysing and visualising insights ✔ Excellent organisational and problem-solving aptitude ✔ Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities ✔ Proven stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrate Your Fit
