Learning Content Specialist (12 Month FTC)

Learning Content Manager – 12-Month AI Acceleration Cover Role (FTC, Part-Time)

We're Utility Warehouse (UW), on a mission to simplify utility management by delivering a streamlined platform—one integrated bill for energy, broadband, mobile and insurance, with significant savings. As we scale rapidly, we’re doubling team capacity in pursuit of people-powered operational efficiency.

Key Opportunity: FTC 12-month maternity cover role in our Learning Content team within People Capability & Engagement. You’ll lead accelerated AI adoption across our learning workflows, leaving the team self-sufficient beyond your contract.


Key Responsibilities

1. AI-Enabled Learning Content Strategy & Delivery

  • Propose and design learning solutions aligned with business outcomes, leveraging AI to streamline production workflows.
  • Apply agile methodologies to plan, iterate, and scale high-quality content
  • Reduce time-to-delivery through AI tools for drafting, scripting, and iterative refinement (e.g. Gemini, ChatGPT).
  • Create or curate utilisable AI prompt templates and best practices to minimise future reliance on you.

2. Content Creation & Innovation

  • Develop proposals, digital and facilitated training materials using AI-assisted rapid production tools.
  • Transform text-to-speech reports into polished eLearning, productivity scripts and guided micro-learning modules.
  • Collaborate with in-house tools like Adobe Creative Cloud or other AI assistance for engaging design.
  • Aggregate raw outputs to produce high-impact content in multiple formats (LMS, in-person, blended).
  • Use AI to define instructional design challenges, then validate and package solutions via provenance-led approaches.

3. Strategic & Commercial Impact

  • Raise market awareness—scout emerging AI tools, benchmark their learning applications and author business cases to justify adoption.
  • Bridge complex stakeholder needs into simple, effective training solutions.
  • Engagement with expert knowledge repositories (internal, external), transform insight into practical learning interventions.

4. Team Growth & Knowledge Sharing

  • Coach colleagues across the team in responsible AI tooling, fostering self-reliance in evaluating and optimising new solutions.
  • Establish repeatability by documenting shared pathways, routines and key pipelines.
  • Self-manage handover to ensure seamless return of the covered employee, with minimum disruption to portfolio delivery.

  • Hybrid working: Earned participation in Global Colindale (London) office 2 days/week
  • Collaborative agile environment with a publishing deadline driven cadence
  • Learning Team Alignment: Engage with HRBP stakeholders, business owners, and colleagues in engineering, product, and operations.

Requirements

Core Competencies & Experience

  • Agile.Working: Proven experience designing, developing and DEMANDING innovative approaches to learning in an environment where responsiveness and rapid development cycle iteration trump tradition.
  • Proposal Craft: Skill in working upwards via tailored learning briefs that sell outcomes to stakeholders and executives.
  • Technological Flavour:A love of playful experimentation. PLUS experience of usage: • Repeated portfolio-led Chapel documentation • AI evaluation (Gemini, ChatGPT, accurate prompt structure, business cases) • Digital authoring (Evolve, Articulate, Storyline/Adobe Creative Cloud or evolving AI-powered)
  • Commerc Gets rightly beyond process: A instinct for translating financial-led targets into energising, capacity-fuelled learning narratives that cross communicate and master routine barriers.
