Our client a global leader in English Language Teaching Seeks a Learning Design Manager

We’re seeking an innovative and strategic Assessment & Learning Design Manager to lead the design, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of assessment products across diverse education sectors. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of engaging, reliable, and standards-aligned curricula and assessments for Schools, Higher Education, and Workforce audiences. Your expertise will ensure our products are pedagogically sound, compliant with international standards, and deliver measurable value to learners and educators alike. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage data analytics to optimize content, and advocate for innovative assessment solutions that meet evolving educational needs.

We’re looking for candidates with a strong background in English language learning or assessment development, experience managing digital and online learning products, and a knack for stakeholder engagement. Your knowledge of compliance standards such as Ofqual and safeguarding policies will ensure our offerings are both effective and responsible.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in English language learning/content and assessment design
  • Proven expertise in product development, especially digital/online products
  • Ability to analyse data and utilize analytics tools to evaluate and enhance learning outcomes
  • Skilled in managing pre-testing, piloting, and validation processes
  • Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and external partners
  • Familiarity with compliance standards, safeguarding, and accessibility guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear documentation and briefings

Nice-to-Haves

  • Knowledge of Accessibility and EDI principles in education
  • Experience with Agile product management methodologies
  • Specialization in areas such as AI, young learners, employment, or other niche domains

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Higher qualification in English Language Teaching, Assessment, Applied Linguistics, or a related field (such as a Master’s, PhD, DELTA, Dip TESOL)
  • Proven track record in managing global education products for a minimum of several years

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office collaboration
  • Willingness to engage with ongoing research and professional development
