Learning Designer (Technical Audiences)
6-Month Contract | Hybrid Manchester | Global Tech Platform
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Learning Designer to join a global technology platform on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will focus on designing, organising and continuously improving learning content for technical audiences, including Software Engineers, Product Developers, Product Managers, Data Scientists and Technology Teams.
Working closely with Subject Matter Experts across the business, you'll translate complex technical topics into engaging, accessible learning experiences and ensure content is easily discoverable through platforms such as Confluence and other collaboration tools.
You'll be passionate about creating effective digital learning journeys, leveraging AI tools to enhance content creation, and helping technical teams access the information they need to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning content for technical and product-focused audiences.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to capture and translate complex technical concepts into effective learning materials.
- Create and maintain learning pathways, curricula and content structures that support technical capability development.
- Organise and optimise learning resources within platforms such as Confluence and other digital collaboration tools.
- Use Generative AI tools to support content creation, maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Review existing content, identify gaps and improve the learner experience.
- Support the rollout of learning initiatives across global technology teams.
- Monitor learner engagement and continuously refine content based on feedback and performance data.
- Ensure learning content remains current, accessible and aligned to business priorities.

Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Learning Designer, Learning Experience Designer (LXD), Instructional Designer or similar
- Experience designing learning solutions for technology, engineering or product-led organisations
- Strong understanding of how technical audiences learn and consume information
- Excellent content design, content mapping and learning architecture skills
- Experience working closely with SMEs to create effective learning experiences
- Strong knowledge of digital learning methodologies and best practices
- Experience using GenAI tools to support learning content development
- Familiarity with platforms such as Confluence, Slack, ServiceNow, B.Learn or similar
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and project management skills
- Experience working within large, global and matrixed organisations
