Help Shape the Future of Learning at Cartrefi Cymru!

At Cartrefi, we are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilled and enriched lives in the community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Learning & Development Advisor to join our People and Culture Team. This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced L&D professional who is passionate about developing people, creating engaging learning experiences, and helping colleagues reach their full potential.

You will play a key role in identifying learning needs, designing innovative development solutions, delivering engaging training, and evaluating the impact of learning across the organisation.

Role: Learning and Development Advisor

Location:

Hybrid, based in Cardiff or in one of our other offices in South, West, Mid or North Wales. You will be expected to travel to other offices across Wales as required.

Hours:

37 hours a week

Salary:

£36,245 per annum

Contract:

Permanent

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with managers and departments to identify learning and development needs.
  • Design, develop and deliver a range of engaging learning solutions using blended learning methodologies.
  • Contribute to regular Training Needs Analysis activities, ensuring organisational, regulatory and developmental requirements are met.
  • Provide guidance to managers and colleagues on learning opportunities that support Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
  • Evaluate learning interventions and demonstrate their impact through qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Lead and support People Strategy projects focused on colleague development and organisational culture.
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Development Manager and Resourcing Team on work experience opportunities, apprenticeships, placements and graduate programmes.
  • Support the implementation and embedding of leadership and management development programmes.
  • Champion digital learning and support colleagues to develop their digital confidence and capability.
  • Contribute to workforce planning initiatives, career pathways, succession planning and talent retention activities

About You

You’ll have

  • Experience designing and delivering both virtual and face-to-face training using blended learning approaches.
  • Experience developing induction, management and soft skills programmes.
  • Experience managing or supporting organisation-wide L&D projects.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong digital skills, including the use of Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams and Forms.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and managers at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
