L&D Project Consultant (Retail Leadership Programme)

Fixed-Term Contract | 3 Months

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced L&D Project Consultant to lead the delivery of a high-profile people development project within our retail business.

This is a project-focused role, responsible for designing and delivering a key leadership and capability initiative that will support future talent development across our retail estate. Working closely with senior retail and people team stakeholders, you will manage project activity from discovery through to final recommendations and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded L&D professional who enjoys working autonomously, managing stakeholders, and delivering tangible outcomes within a defined timeframe.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading a strategic L&D project from initiation to completion.
  • Managing project milestones, timelines, risks and deliverables.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder consultations to gather insight and shape recommendations.
  • Developing practical frameworks, tools and supporting materials.
  • Building strong relationships with leaders across the business to gain alignment and engagement.
  • Presenting progress updates, findings and recommendations to project sponsors.
  • Delivering a comprehensive project handover and implementation roadmap.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
