About Evolve Psychology
At Evolve Psychology, we operate differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, we aimed to redefine what clinical and neurodevelopmental psychology means in practice—bringing care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence together without compromise.
From expert witness assessments to a leading independent psychology and neurodevelopmental service, we now operate across the UK, Ireland, and beyond, specialising in:
- NHS-funded neurodevelopmental assessments (via Right to Choose, with online/hybrid or in-person options where clinically appropriate)
- Private neurodevelopmental assessments (online and in-person when suitable)
- SpLD assessments (dyslexia, dyscalculia)
- Intellectual disability assessments (including cognitive assessments)
We are a clinician-founded, clinician-led team, with over 100 HCPC/NMC/GMC/Social Work England—or BPS-affiliated experts. As an award-winning, multidisciplinary practice, we prioritise high-quality, person-centred care.
What Sets Us Apart
- Expert leadership – Founded and led by Dr Laura Powling, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years across mental health, neurodevelopmental, and forensic services.
- NHS-accredited provider, delivering regionally and nationally.
- Gold-standard assessments – Compliant with NICE, BPS, and international standards.
- Supporting technology – Custom electronic health records and diagnostic tools to streamline workflows.
- Person-centred approach – Assessments are evidence-based, multidisciplinary, and focused on whole-person support—not just diagnoses.
- Beyond assessments – Opportunities to contribute to training, research, and neuroinclusive advocacy.
- Values-led culture – Compassion, clarity, and integrity guide every step of our work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
